This weekend the Los Angeles times ran an article, or I should say an interview, with Ed Kushins, the owner of a website called homeexchange.com. The website is one of the great ideas that I’ve come across in the last few months, and I thought I would share the find with those of you who follow my blog.

What Is HomeExchange.com?

The website offers people the chance to exchange living environs for a particular period of time. Say for instance you wanted to take a trip to Pensacola, and he didn’t want to stay in some random hotel. You could, as a member of this website search for someone in the city and arrange an exchange. What’s great about the site is the fact that you could exchange one day in a Pensacola mansion for three days in your regular Canoga Park home. The exchange does not need to be exact. All that has to happen is that the two parties on each side have to agree to the exchange.

This is just a brief introduction to the website, and it should probably be researched further by any of you interested in pursuing this approach to vacation, but whatever the case I thought it a good enough idea to share with those of you in the region.
